It has been established to protect local natural and cultural heritage and to provide opportunities for ecotourism. The park’s landscapes are diverse, ranging from the alluvial pine forest belt near Shushenskoe village to mountain tundra of Borus Massif, all ideal for recreation, enjoying the peace and solitude the scenic landscape has to offer. The park is composed of two separate segments (units) situated 60 km from each other. Each unit is unique and fascinating in its own right.
